Samira Alejos, O.D.

Dr. Samira Alejos is the owner and founding member of Lone Star Vision Group. With over 10 years of experience as an eye doctor and a passion for eye care, she is honored to provide the highest quality optometric services and exceptional patient care to the Cedar Park / Leander community.
Dr. Alejos has expertise in treating vision problems such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia, as well as more complex medical conditions and diseases, including glaucoma and strabismus. She also provides co-management of cataract and Lasik procedures, specialty contact lens fitting and Myopia control management. She is licensed in Texas as a Therapeutic Optometrist and as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. She is on the board of the Central Texas Optometric Society (CTOS). She is a lifetime Beta Sigma Kappa – International Optometric Honor Society member and a member of both the American Optometric Association and the Texas Optometric Association.
She received her Bachelor’s degree at Texas State University before graduating from the inaugural class at the University of Incarnate Word – Rosenberg School of Optometry in 2013. She graduated with honors and completed internships at a major VA Hospital in San Antonio, TX, Dell Laser Center in Austin, TX, and Texan Eye in Austin, TX.
Dr. Alejos grew up in Austin and enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with her wonderful husband and their three children.

Alyssa Garza, O.D.

Dr. Alyssa Garza is therapeutic optometrist and glaucoma specialist and is excited to be at Lone Star Vision Group. She has practiced in the Austin area for over three years and takes pride in serving the community with quality eye care.
Dr. Garza practices all aspects of eye care including comprehensive eye exams, emergency eye care needs, glaucoma management, dry eye disease management, and specialty contact lens fittings.
She graduated with a Bachelors degree from the University of Houston and continued on to the University of Houston College of Optometry (UHCO) where she graduated Magna Cum Laude as a Doctor of Optometry. She is a proud member of the Texas Optometric Association (TOA) and the Central Texas Optometric Society (CTOS).
In her free time Dr. Garza loves to travel, try new restaurants, and spending time with her family!

Stefanie Taing, O.D.

Dr. Stefanie Taing was born and raised in Austin, Texas and graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Incarnate Word at Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio, Texas.
She completed her clinical rotations at Community Eye Care in Fort Worth, Texas and at the Amarillo Veterans Affair where she diagnosed, managed and treated ocular diseases. She also volunteered in a mission trip to Guatemala where she provided eye care to the underserved population of Chichicastenango, Guatemala and to the orphans of the Village of Hope Guatemala.
When Dr. Taing is not in the office, she enjoys trying different chocolate cakes and balancing this out with long runs. She has completed several Austin Half-Marathons and plans to complete many more in the future. She is excited to have the opportunity to provide eye care to the Cedar Park area with Lone Star Vision Group as a therapeutic optometrist and certified glaucoma specialist.

Konnichiwa! I'm Rhiannon, and I've always been captivated by the blend of healthcare and technology. I'm thrilled to be able to combine these passions in my career here at Lone Star Vision Group. My personal mission is to bring a smile to every patient's face every single day.
Additionally, I'm currently pursuing an Associate's Degree in Japanese Foreign Language, a journey that holds great significance to me. When I'm not engrossed in healthcare and language studies, I embrace my creative side. You'll often find me with a sketchbook in hand, exploring the enchanting realms of lighthearted fiction, playing video games, and honing my Japanese language skills.

Privyet! I'm Maya, a recent biology graduate with a bachelor's degree from the University of North Texas at Denton. I'm currently studying for the optometry admissions test with the goal of becoming an optometrist. I've always had a passion for the sciences, particularly medical science, and I'm excited to be at Lone Star Vision Group, where I can learn, grow, and work towards my goal of providing the best possible care to every patient I see—both now and in the future.
In my free time, I enjoy a variety of hobbies, including staying active by going to the gym, playing pickleball with friends, swimming laps, and hiking. I also frequently thrift shop, brush up on my Russian language skills, and review movies on my Letterboxd account.

Hello! I'm Ruhi, an optometric technician at Lone Star Vision Group. I am currently a senior at the University of Texas at Austin, pursuing a bachelor's degree in Public Health and a minor in English. I want to pursue a career in medicine and public health, and have learned many skills regarding patient care here at the clinic!
In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing the piano, watching sitcoms and trying out new recipes.
