Lone Star Vision Group is a full-service optometry clinic in Cedar Park, TX. Our services encompass:
• Comprehensive Eye Examinations: Regular eye exams, pediatric eye exams (4 years old and up), and specialized evaluations for various eye conditions.
• Contact Lens Exams: Also known as a contact lens fitting, this is a specialized eye assessment to determine the suitability of contact lenses, including an evaluation of eye health, corneal measurements, and tear film quality. The exam results in a prescription for the right type of contact lenses, often including a trial pair for testing comfort and vision.
• Eye Disease Management: Diagnosis and management of eye diseases such as Glaucoma, Diabetic Retinopathy, Macular Degeneration, and more.
• Emergency Eye Care: Prompt and expert care for eye injuries, infections, and sudden vision changes.
• Myopia Management: Also known as myopia control, can help slow the progression of myopia, which usually starts in childhood and worsens with age. It reduces the need for stronger prescriptions as patients age. This approach also lowers the risk of eye issues. Severe myopia increases the chances of retinal detachment and myopic maculopathy, while even mild myopia heightens the risk of glaucoma and cataracts. Myopia management includes specialized glasses, eye drops, and contact lenses like MiSight® 1 day.
• Specialty Contact Lenses: Specialty contacts are designed for patients with corneal conditions or other eye issues that regular contact lenses cannot accommodate. These lenses address problems related to fit and comfort that arise because not everyone has a perfectly-shaped cornea. Additionally, they provide a solution for individuals with eye conditions like dry eye, which can make wearing regular contact lenses challenging. Various types of specialty contact lenses, including Scleral Lenses, Hybrid Lenses, Rigid GP (gas permeable) Lenses, and more, offer clear vision without glasses for these patients.
• Pre- & Post-Op Refractive and Cataract Co-Management: Pre-operative and/or Post-Operative care for Refractive or Cataract surgeries. Please schedule online or call our clinic for more information.

The recommended frequency for eye exams varies based on age and individual health factors:
• Children, teenagers, adults and seniors are recommended to schedule annual eye exams or as advised by your optometrist.
• Individuals with specific eye conditions or risk factors may require more frequent exams.

They provide glaucoma-related preventative care & treatment. They also work closely with ophthalmologists when necessary.
