Samira Alejos, O.D.

Dr. Samira Alejos is the owner and founding member of Lone Star Vision Group. With over 10 years of experience as an eye doctor and a passion for eye care, she is honored to provide the highest quality optometric services and exceptional patient care to the Cedar Park / Leander community.
Dr. Alejos has expertise in treating vision problems such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia, as well as more complex medical conditions and diseases, including glaucoma and strabismus. She also provides co-management of cataract and Lasik procedures, specialty contact lens fitting and Myopia control management. She is licensed in Texas as a Therapeutic Optometrist and as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. She is on the board of the Central Texas Optometric Society (CTOS). She is a lifetime Beta Sigma Kappa – International Optometric Honor Society member and a member of both the American Optometric Association and the Texas Optometric Association.
She received her Bachelor’s degree at Texas State University before graduating from the inaugural class at the University of Incarnate Word – Rosenberg School of Optometry in 2013. She graduated with honors and completed internships at a major VA Hospital in San Antonio, TX, Dell Laser Center in Austin, TX, and Texan Eye in Austin, TX.
Dr. Alejos grew up in Austin and enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with her wonderful husband and their three children.

Alyssa Garza, O.D.

Dr. Alyssa Garza is therapeutic optometrist and glaucoma specialist and is excited to be at Lone Star Vision Group. She has practice in the Austin area for over three years and takes pride in serving the community with quality eye care.
Dr. Garza practices all aspects of eye care including comprehensive eye exams, emergency eye care needs, glaucoma management, dry eye disease management, and specialty contact lens fittings.
She graduated with a Bachelors degree from the University of Houston and continued on to the University of Houston College of Optometry (UHCO) where she graduated Magna Cum Laude as a Doctor of Optometry. She is a proud member of the Texas Optometric Association (TOA) and the Central Texas Optometric Society (CTOS).
In her free time Dr. Garza loves to travel, try new restaurants, and spend time with her family!

I'm Alexa and I am the Office Manager here at Lone Star Vision Group. I have stayed dedicated to optometry for over four years because I'm truly fascinated by vision and eye health. Understanding how the eye works and what affects it keeps me learning and engaged. Knowing that I contribute to improving our patients' lives is deeply fulfilling.
My favorite hobby is spending time with family. It's a chance to connect, create memories, share stories, and strengthen our bonds. Whether it's a simple meal at home or an exciting adventure, family time brings immense joy to my life.

Additionally, I'm currently pursuing an Associate's Degree in Japanese Foreign Language, a journey that holds great significance to me. When I'm not engrossed in healthcare and language studies, I embrace my creative side. You'll often find me with a sketchbook in hand, exploring the enchanting realms of lighthearted fiction, playing video games, and honing my Japanese language skills.
